My PSD 2 WordPress process

Analysis

Once you’ve placed an order via contact form, I’m going to contact you within next 24h. The most important thing at this stage is to get the files and provide the quote and timeline. In most cases my clients sends me layered PSD files, however other formats like AI, JPG, PNG are also acceptable. The fonts files or typekit code are also important and I’m going to ask for it before I start the development. If the quote is accepted, I’m going to ask for 50% upfront to start the project. I accept payment via Payoneer Payment Service or Freelancing platforms like Guru. All the prices I tell are gross prices, which includes all fees.

PSD 2 HTML

When everything is set, next step is to convert delivered design files into responsive HTML. I use Bootstrap as a CSS framework, SCSS to create custom stylesheet and Gulp to compile and minify the JavaScript and CSS files.

Connecting with WP-Admin

As soon as the HTML is ready, it’s necessary to connect it with the wp-admin zone. I use ACF plugin to provide custom fields system, which in my opinion is the best way to manage the content. The custom fields are tailor-made for all possible content type in your project. You won’t need to write a single line of HTML to upload the picture or input the text.

Gathering feedbacks

Once the admin zone is connected with html, I perform a few rounds of tests, and then the project is being presented to you. You can review it and provide final feedbacks, if necessary.

Project delivery

As soon as you’re satisfied with the results, I’m ready for project delivery. I’m going to ask you to pay remaining 50% of the agreed amount (or escrow it, if we’re using one of the freelancing platforms) and then I send the files and database to you. I can help you with installing the website on your server.
